Sporthalle Charlottenburg

more information in German >>> here.

It's built in 1962. The gymnasium used a Nervi-inspired very modern construction. Already here many of Leo's investigations start, the use of slanting space, the playful change of spaces by handy mechanics, the use of cabins in vast brutalist space, a warm intentness.

Kindergarten Loschmidtstraße

The former kindergarden in Loschmidtstraße was the first and seemingly the only real structuralist building in Germany. It was built in 1958-59.
THe building underwent some changes and now is a day care for the elderly.

There is a tour on the thrusday before this excursion to the Student housing Eichkamp and DLRG headquarter,
on May, 5th, 1 pm.
